'Masarigusa' townhouse: a spacious, traditional holiday house (vacation rental) centrally located in the downtown Kyoto area of Sanjo-Kawaramachi.
An exterior featuring wave-shaped 'ichimonji' roof tiles makes the edge of the eaves appear horizontal, whilst the lower half is decorated with chrysanthemums (known as 'masarigusa') tiles. Step inside this traditional Japanese house to discover an impressive space with sky high ceilings, large dining table and spacious kitchen with modern facilities.
Next to the dining area is a traditional Japanese room with delicate 'shoji'paper doors,'tatami' flooring and a stunning view of the inner garden. Admire the garden as you walk along the veranda to your deluxe bathroom with a Japanese wooden bathtub.
The 2F features 2 bedrooms (a Western-style bedroom, and Japanese-style bedroom), each with a window that offers a view of the inner courtyard garden below.
